Neeka Zarei MA, LPC, Psy.D candidate

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D) candidate. I graduated from Naropa University with a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Buddhist Psychology. Through my training as a therapist, I have learned the art of being still in my discomfort through many silent meditation retreats. As a therapist who is dedicated to helping people, I realized that the art of healing is paradoxical in nature. We can’t heal if we are running away from ourselves and our pains. We need to learn how to approach ourselves in a gentle and kind manner. Facing our pains, our shadows, our traumas, and our skewed paradigms is the way to accessing a new relationship with yourself. Through trauma informed care, and evidenced based practices such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I can guide you through these challenging spaces within you. I will help you find release and harmony with all parts of yourself (even the scary ones). I look forward to guiding you through a revolutionary healing journey.
